can you make my car run and pass smog with 680cc injectors and MAF/T? (I know the maf is questionable, but Lee said he passed with it, so I guess if it looks like it belongs, then all will be well...) I'm sorta dragging my feet on it right now (a friend brought this to my attention) until I can afford to pull the motor, change all the seals and replace the timing belt and associated parts, and buy DSMLink... but I really don't think the car has any leaks... as of yet, but having sat for 2 years, I'm sure that there are going to be some leak issues...

I would also need to get my ECU socketed.

You shoudn't need a chip to make the MAFT run right, you just need to calibrate it properly. In fact, I can't imagine a feature on a one time burned chip that would have any effect on the MAFT calibration. Half the time, the "base" MAFT settings are FUBAR which is why you won't pass the sniffer with it. You should be able to get it calibrated with a logger that reads raw hz from the MAF, STFT and LTFT, and either a piggy back that adjusts the air signal like the SAFC. DSMLink is the easy way to go, I can describe either way when you're ready.

Oh yeah, probably obvious but wire your translator into the glove box or something lol. I had one guy tell me he finally passed the sniffer but the tech saw the "Horse Power in a Box, For offroad use only" sticker and said get lost. hahaha

Yea... need to get a logger... really thinking I'll just drag my feet another 6 months or so and buy DSMLink and be done with it... I really want the damn thing, and am going to get it eventually, so I might as well just wait and do it right the first time, then I'll have my logger and my tuner and I can adjust everything and make it all run... as for the MAFT being in the car, I figured I'd put it up under the dash anyway, cause once it's set, I'll be doing all my tuning with the DSMLink anyway (I hope)
