    Default DSMLink in an EVO!!

Well I'm a dumb ass, I posted a link but it's in the DSMLink forums DOH! But anyways, the guys over there have adapted a 95 EPROM ecu into the EVO to make DSMLink and all it's toys work for the EVO8. Pretty cool!!

I believe they're making a "how-to" so I'll snag it and post it up if anyone cares. Just takes some creative wiring and you're set.

Ok looks like the "how-to" is put on hold because they guys at DSMLink hope to have a EVO version out within 6 months or so... we'll see though it's not for sure.

Edit: Correction, the how to is coming soon... jeez I'll get the facts straight eventually!

Does this mean that the boys at DSMlink are going to add Mivec controls so that they can work with the EVO9? (and the funky motor I'm trying to get parts together for... )

To clarify, although I'm sure they gave plenty of help, it was not the DSMLink creators that swapped the dsm ecu into the evo, it was actually DSMLink customers. I would guess that their official evo solution won't be out for quite some time, and that it won't utilize a dsm ecu. Evo 9 & Mivec control is gonna be a long wait, considering it is not even here yet.

Yea, but one can hope! Doesn't matter, I still haven't gotten a rock solid answer on weather or not I can even get the 4g92 head... But this is promising... if they can adapt the DSM ECU to an evo, then there's a possibility I can adapt it to my hybrid 4g9x motor... provided I can get all the damn parts...

Why'd you go and do that? Take it back! The MIVEC Evo IX is sooo close to being here... you gotta get one of them!
