    Default Oh purdy ICPs!!

    MmmMMm, spiffy!

After many cans of Duplicolor Red 1200 degree spray paint, a few hrs of prep and wetsanding, viola! A nice little touch up that will go well with the Black/Matte' Black/Red 3 way paint/car theme Ill be using on my Tally. The best part about it is that no one has been able to tell that the pipes havent been powder coated (They sparkle when they are wiped off *they are all dusty from sitting the past few days in the garage*) I thought about doing a Red/Blue theme on the ICPs (hot and cold) but I decided to keep it simple. Once he car gets painted the Intercoller will be painted or powdercoated a glossy black to match the top and other accent parts.

    Another angle:

Looks good......one question.....does all of that paint effect the weight or the performance of the intercooler?
I'm the first person to do a 180 in mid air at RPM.

it'll weigh more because you're adding paint weight.... I would think if you paint the whole intercooler it'd be less effective, but if you only paint the end tanks, it shouldn't make much difference... the pipes don't do much for cooling, they're just there to get the air to where it needs to be usually

Studys by a few people seen on DSMToonerz and And DSMGossip (talk) have shown that painted intercoolers don't lose function unless you cake up the fins. I plan on doing a light dusting over the fins and doing a heavy detail on the end tanks so it'll look as good if not better than these.

In my defense, someone asked if it added weight... I was just answering... the difference would probably be in grams... but it's still weight *shrugs*
