Default Ford Turbo - maybe holset?

Does anybody know what comes on a F250 Powerstroke stock? My buddy said he could get me a turbo that his buddy has laying in the garage from when he upgraded the turbo on his powerstroke... he thinks it's a holset, but he doesn't know much else about it, and I was wondering if it's even worth having him grab. I know bullseye makes a housing for the HX35, (I know bullseye housings suck... but if it can get me a huge turbo for cheap...) and wasn't sure if this was a turbo I'd be able to make fit on my car...

    FMIC/14b turbo

All Fords have Garrett turbos on them

My Dodge has (had) the HX35 I am running the HX45 on there now, soon to be changed out to the BD AURORA 5000

I sold the HX 35 to a DSM guy....the turbo will work but not very well, its not designed to run on small displacement engines that make little exhaust volume at lower rpm

so, knowing it's a garrett then, what kind would it most likely be? Are any of them usable on the eclipse? I know they're no good for low rpm stuff, cause of the displacement, but I thought it'd be a good street turbo, cause it'd never spool during daily driving, but at the track I would have the rpm's up, it would perform well... I guess I'll tell my buddy to grab it for me, cause he said it's just sitting in his friends garage and he didn't want it.

The only thing that turbo is good for in my eyes is selling on Ebay,

The HX35's that SBR and Bullseye sells are different than the Diesel turbos.

That turbo will have SERIOUS lag and will not even hit very hard up top,

for the work involved its not worth it, unless you just want a hog turbo on a 13 second car.

what if I build that 2.4? still basically junk? Meh, I'll pick it up and sell it on ebay to finance me a 16g... that's really all the turbo I want, maybe a 20g... something with a mitsubishi logo on it so I can tell the smog guy that it's factory :D

What you are going to do is figure out what expectations you have for the car,
a RELIABLE street driven car you can built a 2.3l or a 2.0l with a 20g and make an even 400hp all day long on pump gas.

Just TUNE what ever you have,

You can bolt a GT35 on a built engine, not tune it and have a car that licks to drive.
Burn stuff up and be in waaayyyyy deep in the pocket book.
