Thread: Some hondas, not as slow.......

When I was getting my exhaust problem fixed at a muffler shop this guy with a civic was asking me about my car, he asked if he could see under the hood so I showed him, ( I figured he might want to see a real engine for a change :P ) And he asks me if the turbo on there was stock, I kinda laughed of course thinking this guy knew nothing about turbo'd cars, but when he pointed to his hatchback civic i saw a fmic. I was kinda thinking na it cant be turbo'd even if it is, its probably running a t-28 or something. When he popped the hood I saw this HUGE turbo he said it was a 60 trim :shock: , this thing was massive lol. He asked me if I wanted to race I said no. My first time ever turning down a honda.

Most Honda guys buy any turbo they can find and run low boost on it. The Honda guy with stock internals and a 60 trim is deffinetly the one you want to race. Then again if he picked that turbo based on his build and based on real calculations, I would be afraid lol

I just see 90% of the custom turbo projects out there with T3/T4 turbos, 60-1s, 56 trims, Dezzzziel turbos, and whatever they can find running.... 7psi :shock:

Then again there's always that one you never expect...

red, it has a big k&b muffler shop vinyl on the back window. And yeah I think i remember him saying he was running 5-9 psi.

my room mate has a friend that has a turbo civic... big freaking t3/t4 either 50 or 60 trim. he ran a 19.1 at the track! oh i can just feel that vtec power now!
