    Default The Dirty Birdie Rebuild:

Well, as you know I been having my ups, and my downs (more downs that ups) but speaking of ups, the UPS man came today and lookie what I got:

It was a good day today.. Well other than finiding an ass load of overage charges on my account when I went to cash my check. I swear I fkin hate Wells Fargo with a passion.

Anywyas, JNZ really came through with everything you see but the ARPs and the Cometic HG. They are pretty much THE place to go for ANYTHING you need as far as DSMs go... This same order with Slow Boy was going to cost me damn near 550-600 dollars. From JNZ, only 420 and thats with all the parts being OEM or better.

With money looking how it is now the rebuild should be done on at least the engine by the 1st weekend of July (not counting the 1st and 2nd) Lets keep our fingers crossed huh...

PS. That's not my indor/house carpet so don't ask. That's actually our garage. :P

Well the car was good to go and off to M&S last night.. or so I thought. I call them this morning just to get the wonderful news that the moronic tow company decided to drag my AWD Talon (WITH VSC) all the way accross town, not once but TWICE by 2 DIFFERENT tow truck drivers. :?: So that 3 day head job now turns into a 5 day head job/tranny rebuild  I'm sure it is in good hands with Jon behind the wrench there at M&S and can't wait til I can pick it up Monday (Friday if im' lucky.. )

So lets flap our wings for the DB and hope he flies one day again.

Next on the list... SMOG!!! :o

PS The tow company seemed cooperative in repairing the vehicle so I really have no qualms with them atthe end of the day and its nto like I'm getting a brand new tranny to replace my beat down one considering the tranny I had only had a few thousand miles on it. but all in all its ok. The T case wll get redone and we'll call it a day.
