Thread: I made a short video compilation

I'm still trying to learn the basics of video editing so don't expect something professional. The first race isn't my car, I just like that race so I threw it in. The other 4 races are of me at Sacramento Raceway.

Youtube kinda shot the quality down a bit.

This is the first compilation I've made and I'll continue to add on to it and eventually make an hour long movie.

The first race isn't mine....Thats a guy with a car like mine running high 11's now.
The rest of the races are mine. I ran a 14.7 @ 91 mph bone stock, with an HKS BOV. That was also full weight, a complete sound system including a 7 cu. foot ported box in the hatch, heavy asz 18" rims, and a full tank of gas.
I was hitting 1.8's in the 60ft. It was funny when I was smoking those 2 300zx twin turbo Nissans. I embarassed that guy with the Honda Accord, and he got a 4 second headstart as his handicap in bracket racing. That was a great time at the track.

scrymmer, we didn't record a tv set....we actually recorded my camcorder with my friends camcorder. I now have a video capture card.

Actually, I bought my video capture card a couple months ago, I've just havent had time to transfer all of my video footage from my camcorder onto my computer.

I'm using Sony Vegas 6.0.......Its great, except I dont know how to use it. I tried using Adobe Premier 6.5 and got lost.

Nice, I like the effect of the light through the words and having the light move directions shooting beams of light through the words in diff directions. Thats only on sony vegas i think.

Yep....I've seen that effect, but I dont know how to do it. Do you know where I can learn how to use Sony Vegas 6.0? Any online tutorials or books I can buy on that? Sony Vegas just offers so many tricks and transitions, it offers a lot more creative things that other programs don't have. It's great to use once you learn the basics.
