    Default ANY OF YOU GUYS REFEREE YOUR CAR YET

    I WAS WAS PULL OVER TODAY BY A CHP OFFICER, AND GOT A TICKET TO REFEREE MY CAR. I'M PRETTY SURE EVERYTHING IN MY CAR WILL PASS, BUT THERE ARE TWO THING THAT I'M LITTLE BIT CONCERN IS HKS BLOW OFF VALVE AND MY FMIC. IF ANY OF YOU GUYS GOT YOUR CAR REFEREE, DID THEY SAY ANYTHING ABOUT YOU FMIC AND BLOW OFF VALVE. HERE IS A LIST OF MOD INSIDE MY HOOD: HKS BLOW OFF VALVE, INJEN INTAKE(CARB LEGAL) GREEDY BOOST CONTROL SPEC B 2, EVO EXHUST MANIFOLD, EVO 16G TURBO, SLOWBOY FMIC, SLOWBOY J PIPE, HANH RACECRAFT 02, HANH RACECRAFT DOWN PIPE....     HKS BLOW OFF VALVE - Illegal

    INJEN INTAKE(CARB LEGAL) - Illegal - http://www.injen.com/carb.html

    GREEDY BOOST CONTROL SPEC B 2 - Very Illegal

    EVO EXHAUST MANIFOLD - They won't notice so legal

    EVO 16G TURBO - Illegal but depends on the Ref you should be able to pass since they probably don't know or care

    SLOWBOY FMIC - Legal from what I have read

    SLOWBOY J PIPE - I would assume illegal but might be overlooked

    HAHN RACECRAFT 02 - Illegal but probably won't see it as aftermarket unless its very shiny?

    HANH RACECRAFT DOWN PIPE - Illegal but same situation as before

    you pretty much have to put everything back to stock. I dont know about the other items but the Downpipe will have to be put back to stock, along with probably the UICP, BOV, etc...

    Sucks to own a 2g don't it.

    put it all back to stock save for the turbo and manifold (they look stock externaly)

    sorry to hear about the ref ticket man. last time i saw your car, it wasnt visually modded at all, just had the fmic and exhaust showing. it DOES suck to own a 2g. even if we're stock on the outside, cops love to bug us.

    ps. friends of mine have encountered smog refs that are pretty anal so you can count on taking everything back to stock. unless you know how to argue.

    pps. or unless you know someone you can pay off to pass it...

    i've driven by 6 cops in my car with no exhaust on in mid acceleration with the external opened up. nothing happened. i have no front plate, and they couldn't see my back plate from where they were. they didn't even look twice. but granted i wasn't speeding or doing anything else.
    but i've had friends with out of state plates like me get pulled over for "aftermarket exhaust" until they realize it's out of state.

    so i wonder how the cops discriminate and decide who to pull over?

    eh.. i dunno, she's my SISTER, haha. i just think that cops figure girls arent racers, so they dont bother them with the same bs. i might be wrong though. anyone have a story of a girl they know having her car reffed?

    it's suck big time, but what can i do. The good thing is that i still have all my stock part. i'll put everything back in, once i pass and get a ref sticker i'll put all my aftermaket part back in. From taking to most of my friends that got there car ref, they recomend the ref station on 24th and florin rd. they all say that George(ref tec) is pretty cool and is not all that anal. i'll let all you guy know in a few days how everything went .... wish me luck.... tu
