Default So I jumped in the river to save a lady today...

I was driving eastbound on Twin Cities road, just minding my own business. I was headed home from school in Elk Grove.
All of a sudden, I see some lights flashing on the left side of the road, in the Consumnes River. As I get closer, I realzed that it was a car, flipped over in the water. Right away, I pull over and park in the shoulder and take my money, spare change, credit cards and other stuff outta my pockets, and take off my t-shirt....I had seen this situation before(4 times).

I run down the embankment, and the car is almost entirely under water. I grabbed on to some branches that were surrounding the car and slowly walk into the cold water of the river. I started yelling "is there anyone in the car" and the lady said, "yea, I'm trapped in here". I asked her if there was anyone else in the car. She yelled, "no, just me"

The water was cold, brown, murky, smelly and did I mention cold? I went into the water up to my chest and found her car's door handle and tried to open it. The driver's door couldnt open. Luckily, the lady's head was in an air pocket and she was able to breathe. I opened the back drivers side door and the car was almost completely full of water and upside down as well. I went in to the water, and managed to recline her drivers side seat back somehow. Her back was kind of pinned into the steering wheel, and I could slowly feel the car slidding more and more into the river. I knew I had to yank this lady out fast. By this time, more people had stopped to help and they called 911.

I managed to get a grip of the ladies hand and pull her out through the rear drivers side door. She slithered out and held on to me for dear life. I carried her through all the water, mud, branches, rocks and up the steep embankment on the shoulder of the road and the ladies car just slid in to the river, completely inundated with water. The tires bearly above water. 10 minutes later,Galt and Elk grove fire department, CHP and sheriffs dept get there. They cut off all of her clothes, cover her with blankets, strap her down to this blue plastic board, and throw her in an ambulance and take off with her.

I take off my jordans and socks, completely wet and walk over to my talon barefoot and get in. A sheriff, CHP and Fire dept guy all walk up to me, thank me for my efforts and take my information down.

I took off, got home, and took a warm shower. My shins are all scraped and cut up.

I just wanted you guys to know about my day.

damn man. you get MAD props for that.
you know what would have made things bad though? if the CHP was talking to you and then all of a sudden was like "I noticed you have an aftermarket exhaust... can you pop your hood?"

Actually, I have 3" catback....with a 3" stock looking tip..No fart can here. You can't see my muffler either.

The Sheriff, CHP and Firefighter all came up to my car to get my information and saw all my gauges, turbo timer on top of my steering column, A-pillar dual gauge pod, and gauges in my center vent. They didn't say anything.

Actually, I've been driving around with no hood.....just to school and home. I drive my beater 95 Ford Escort LX hatch 5-speed to work.

I sat on my hood on my red 1gB awd a couple weeks ago and a 7" triangular shaped piece of bondo just broke off of my passengers side hood. I took out a small magnet and found that there was a lot of bondo on my hood. The paint on my car is nice and shiny. Whoever did the paint did a good job. I couldn't even tell the hood had bondo on it till I kinda leaned/sat on it and broke off that bondo mess. That hood is now at the dump, as of 2 weeks ago, missing a lot of paint and bondo. I didn't want to do a bondo hackjob on it so I just threw it away. Getting a VIS carbon fiber hood within a couple days, and I'll paint that.

My valve cover is chromed out, my timing belt cover is painted a shiny grey and a clear-coated, and my HKS SSQV BOV is right there in the stock location, pointed towards the right side on the car, my manual boost controller is bolted on to a radiator fan bolt, and my boost gauges are tapped by the IM and FP solenoid. Not to mention everything inside the car.

Its good to save someone's life and make a difference. The lady hugged me, cried and thanked me for saving her life.
Out of the 3 other people I've saved from cars rolling over in canals and rivers, this one dude didn't even thank me or anything for saving his asz. Hella leaches even sucked blood out of me that time, and I got muddy from head to toe.

hey droopy. you should head over to Brookstone and pick up one of those Life Hammers. the ones with the razor sharp blade to cut seat belts and the hammer that is perfectly in tune with the frequency of glass. those things are sweet
