    Default DUI marked for life

I'm watching the news right now and just saw some CA politician on the news with a bright red CA license plate with DUI stamped in it for proposed punishment for people who get caught DUI. I'm indifferent; I don't think it's a good idea or bad idea... just kind of funny.

I can say it's a bad idea because police will obviously target these people and harass them. But, they deserve it for driving drunk in the first place... still indifferent...

I think its a very very good idea..

The only argument ive seen in other states to this is the whole discrimination factor.. and what if the family uses the vehicle and whatnot.. blablabla..

But i think a little public humiliation can be a good effective way of dealing with people..

Ostracism is a great form of social control. One we need more of nowadays. People are too scared to speak up and make someone look like a fool or say something is stupid. All in the name of individuality and not trying to hurt anyones feelings. Hell if they did this for more things, especially with kids I think it'd be great. More than likely they won't though, too afraid, they're way too afraid of stigmatizing people...which I say who cares, if they don't do something stupid what would they have to be stigmatized about.

I know a CHP officer with 2 prior DUI's ( I did'nt think they would let that fly)

I wonder if he would have one on his cruiser......???

I think they need plate colors for how many accidents you have been in where you are at fault, green, 1, blue 2, yellow 3
    red......watch out!!!!
