    Default new to the boaRD

hello im new to this board. Im 23 i currently drive a 1994 cadillac concourse northstar v8 32valve wich i already have sold next week for 5000, im using this money to purchase my first dsm a 1998 eclipse turbo with 89k miles on wich i plan to upgrade.ive always been into the scene but never had the money to pursue but my new job pays me welll enough to do that now. i used to drive a saturn 1998 sl1 that ihad upgraded to 150 horsepower lol it was 100 horsepower stock it was the product of a poor man trying to have a fast compact, anyways i wanted to say hello to this board i live in san fran and im ready to finally have a car with some real potential soon (the caddy has 330 hp stock but there are absolutely no mods avalable for it to go beyond that so the eclipse is a dream come true for me. Also i like the idea of dsm meetups and stuff sounds fun, one question, is there any clubs in this area that i can join to make owning this car more enjoyable? sorry about the long post im just so happy to finally be getting what ive worked for all this time .

Welcome to the board. If you can make it down the meets in the Sacramento area, there are usually quite a few people there in the warmer weather. There used to be a bay area DSM club but it kinda fell apart over the years. It might still be around in a smaller form.

Some good sites to bookmark are

    http://1000q.dsm.org
    http://www.vfaq.com
http://www.dsmtuners.com <--- you'll have to search through all of the garbage but there is good information when getting started
And the recommended upgrade path http://www.dsmtuners.com/tuning-guide/2gturbo/

If you have tech questions, we've got some knowlegable people here. Good luck with your new car.

well, I hope you are white...If you are Mexican, get ready to get flamed......It seems like the majority of the sac-dsm members are kind of racist...especially some of the wanna be hard core military people ......not just my opinion...its also some other members point of view.......

Don't speak your mind either....some racist members might edit your posts and flame you as well, they never like to be wrong. I'm just watching out for you if you are Mexican.....if you aren't, disregard my post.

The only problematic member we have is Droopy. Ignore him. We're voting on a ban right now, he should be gone soon.

Vote for ban has already been completed. Warning has been submitted to all parties involved in the original quarrel. If warnings are not replied to, then the ban will take effect and members will be added to the "Sh!t List". No more discussion on this partiuclar subject or members in question. Back to the subject at hand...
