Default Cell phone custom ringers with Transflash

Any of you tec people out there know how to make custom ringers for a cell phone with external memory. I've got the Motorola E815 and I finally got a 512mb transflash card for it. I put a bunch of music on there for the MP3 player and they work fine but is there anyway to use files on the transflash card as ring tones? The ring tones I downloaded from Verizon work of course but they're stored in the phones internal 40mb memory. I don't even know where to search the net for something like this. Verizon would rather I buy the ring tons from them so they're not going to provide info for this crap.

eta: I already made small clips I want to use and put them into .wav files and loaded them on the card. They'll play through the mp3 player but I can't select them as ring tones.

does your phone have a USB cable? you probably have to have them saved in a certian folder for them to work as ringtones.

Nope, I don't have one. I thought once I put the transflash card into the phone, I could move the files over to the internal memory but I'm having no luck at that. I'll probably have to get a USB cable too :(

not too sure about verizon but the way sprint does it to be a b!tC# is saves it as a .qcp file...
it uses 2 progs audacity and purevoice
    then use this site
    http://pcs.cruz-network.net/
    to upload it...

that way most people end up buying the ringtones from their site... :(

Looks like I have to hack the phone in order to transfer files from the TF card to the phone. But it showed another way to simply e-mail 30 sec song clips using vzwpix.com and it works! Free ringers! No more paying a couple bucks a peace for a 250kb file

I work for VeriSign on the Internet security side but we own VeriSign Communication Services and Jamster as well.

We own the biggest SS7 line in the world and deliver content to a majority of moblie phones. The ringtones, content, video, etc that is being delivered to your phone is more then likely from us. We have exclusive deals with all of the service providers to deliver this stuff and we contract directly with the record companies and artists for ringtones & music videos.....our EVP had dinner @ Diddy's house the other night to talk about his new releases.....When your caller ID is displayed......we are showing you the number as well......We are everywhere and growing......Personal Biometric authentication and transcations should be here soon....
