Default Any haunted places in the Sacramento/Nor Cal area?

I used to be an avid ghost seeker, haven't really gone out to any haunted places, or places with paranormal activity in a while....I wanna get back in to that.

Any of you know of any haunted places or anything like that in the northern california area?

I have a lot of footage from back when I was in to it....I wanna keep adding on to it.
    BIG PLANS.....STAY TUNED.....

well the urban legends for the area say that the Bay Bridge is haunted with the ghost of a headless jogger who will run alongside your car. i haven't seen it yet.

golden gate park is haunted by a ghost cop. reports on that say that he will issue you a ticket if you're doing something wrong, but when you go to the courthouse to pay it, they void it because the guy is dead.

The Windsor house is a cool place to go too. It's a house built by the guy who made the Windsor rifles and it has wierd ass stare cases and stairs that go to nowhere. stuff like that.

also, the Zodiac Barn is in NorCal over in Vacaville. strange story about that one is that the path to get there is never the same. the fake one that they used in the tours was supposedly burned down. the real one is still up and the story says that you can't burn it down because you can't light a fire inside of it. if you bring a lighter that is lit, it'll blow out. i tried it, and sure enough it was true.

and Leisure Town Rd in Vacaville is supposedly haunted in the Corn fields with some children of the corn crap.

there's also a road that i need to find out where it was that is a dirt road that leads to a house where KKK members lynched the chief of police and hung them in the tree next to the house and used him as target practice. the thing about that one is that you pull up into the driveway and shine your lights on the tree from your car and you can see the shadow of the chief of police swinging in the tree against the house. but if you go over there, there's nothing there. and when you pull out of the driveway, a 40's style police car will chase you and will keep up with you no matter what kind of car you have.
if you pull over, according to the urban legend, the chief of police gets out of the car and he's all mangled and beat up and supposedly you disappear.
but if you don't pull over and keep going until you hit the paved road, the car disappears.
my friend used to work for the police station out there and he says they all know the story. i need to find out where it is though.

Berryessa also has 2 urban legends. 1 about the Giants of Berryessa - supposedly 2 giants live there and on a night where the moon lights up the area, you can see them walking around in the trees. the other one are the ghosts in the water. supposedly if you're at the lake by yourself (don't remember what part of it) ghosts in the water will appear and try to drag you down into the water.

I can't confirm or deny the Cement Hill story either. supposedly there's a military installation up there at the top of the mountain, but when you're walking up there, you pass restricted area signs. if you keep walking, they shoot you with salt rock. i've had tons of people tell me they went and tried it and said to just go and see for myself, but to be prepared.

those are just a few for you.

i think youre thinking of the Winchester Mystery House. it was his widowed wife(lady winchester) who kept building in order to keep the Spirits that had a beef with her husband from taking her. the story went, as soon as construction stopped, she would be taken by the spirits. i think(and even the website doesnt specify) that there was a foreclosure on the bank account, and she had to pause construction to get the loan fixed up, but never even made it out the door, the spirits got to her.

while i havent been to it yet, i cant wait till i do. she had some sick old ass cars that are still in the garage and i believe are maintained by Jay Leno. he ships them to his shop, works on them, and ships them back to the museum/garage.

maybe we can make it a "SAC-DSM" meet one day, have a guided tour and such. thatd be sick, just throwing that out in the open. id definately ask off for that occasion.

I am only aware of the KKK one on Dyer Lane which by itself is just a freaky ass area at night. And I keep hearing of a haunted house in Lincoln but I havent seen it or know exactly where it is.

And Thomas is right about the other one. Its the Winchester Mystery House. And on a side note Winchester is stopping the production of most of there weapons now.
