FWD now AWD SMOG.

Just a heads up next time some of you AWD changeover guys go to smog, When they input your vin it comes up FWD and demands a two speed roller test.
OR you could throw in a viscous eliminator and pull the drive shaft and t case, that would work with out to much hassle
I went through this with the Colt thats why I had to post it.

isn't that only if you have residence in sacramento county which is subject to the smogII roller test? i live in el dorado county and none of the 2wd cars owned by my family have to take the roller test to pass smog.

Honest Engine just got fined by the BAR 40k and lost their repair licence for a week Doh!!
And they were not even doing bunk smogs, their tec was not checking things and got nailed.
Yea I started taking the smog corse at AR but a full semester during the day was not working. maybe next year.

Cool man... three weeks ago BAR inspector wos at the shop and that SUCKA wos checking everthing :x that guy was so strict...
Well i had a guy at my local smog shop try to put my GSX on the rollers a few weeks ago.. I started screaming at him to stop ... He said "Uhh the machine calls for a dyno.. I punched in your VIN.. " to which i replied.. "Dood.. its AWD.. Get out and look.. " he did... then he bypassed the Dyno test.. i saw him force it to skip it.. THey can skip the dyno.. its at their discretion.. One of the options is AWD for skipping it..

yeah, they can skip things at their descretion.
they can skip visual, but they can also get raped in teh ass for doing so. visual is the hardest thing for a modded car to pass, unless you have a hookup or go to a hole in the wall place that wouldnt know what theyre looking at if you gave them a map.
