Default Thought I'd run this drag race for charity thing by ya...

This idea has been done before I'm sure, but here's my weak attempt at it anyway :) :

I'd like to know anyones opinion/ know if they have ever heard of Sac raceway or Infeneon doing a night of drag racing where some portion of the money collected that night at the gate would go toward a charity such as the Fisher House Organization?

Basically the Fisher House Organization houses and feeds sick or wounded soldiers/dependants and their families at the fraction of the cost that it normaly would cost them to stay in the local area due to donations helping to offset the cost. This goes on everyday at some installations that have a major hospital and Travis AFB happens to have one.

Just curious if you have heard of this and if you think the track folks would go for it . Also curious if you think it would be cool to show up as a part of SAC-DSM and attend something like this? (presuming that your car is running of course or you could make it there ).

we're an extremely busy base and can't shut down the runways just for that. we don't even have any areas that aren't used.
