Thread: No FU@#$%* WAY!

The 05 mustnag I bought because my eclipse's motor blew, now has a blown motor, and the dealership said the "factory warranty won't cover it because you had a performance module spliced into the throttle body". WTF!?!? 2 cars total of 29k owed on both and none of them run!!! :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

He said they inspected the motor, and the wires on the throttle body were spliced, and the oil was "like tar" He asked me how long ago I changed the oil and I told him 2k ago, he said I would need a reciept to prove the car was not "neglected" Who keeps the reciept for an oil change?!?! The car was ticking like the oil wasn't making all the way up, I figured the oil pump went out or something, had it towed in and they called me 2 days later to tell me I needed a new motor. So now I need to come up with $3500 to replace the motor, so the eclipse has to wait again. :cry:

a performance module spliced into the TB? wtf kind of module is that? what does a module have anything to do with things on the throttle body? even if youre confusing that with a MAF, i dont think theres anything for a stang to go between the MAF and ecu like a Translator like thing were used to. all programmers and tuners go into the ecu. id go in there and start asking what exactly this module is and why its voiding the warranty. and fuck that, not everyone gets their oil done at a shop like 95% of girly mustang drivers, tell them you did it yourself and you lost the reciept. they still have to honor the warranty no matter what.

when i bought my GT, the stealership asked if i wanted a warranty, i was like "fuck that, ford will do everything in their power NOT to fix it, theyd blame a blown tranny on flowmaster mufflers causing harmonic wear and bulitt deep dish rims causing too much rotational stress to the tranny" waste of 2k.

Instructions said to splice it into the red/black wires on the throttle body, which leads to a harness that leads to the ecu. I might be able to get the eclipse running cheaper but it would take longer i think, $3500 for a 5 day wait for the motor, and then 1-2 days to put it in for the mustang, all the parts for the eclipse are here in my room it just has to go to the machine shop $325 5 day wait, then how ever long it takes to put the motor in after it comes back (assuming they do everything right the first time). So I'm not sure what i'm going to do.

Sell both and buy an Evo :D
