38mm wastegate is not built for 800hp so he needs two of them or one big one .That turbo is GT42 86mm trim 5"inlet
Yea I guess two smaller gates would make more presice boost control a bit eaiser, HmmOriginally Posted by myAWDgst

I think that 2 gates work better then 1. The biggest gate is 46-50 mm, if you have two 38mm gates that is about 76mm.
My god,what a beast!86mm trim!!well it's not a 16g,but igues it'sok. :P
hi, I'm the idiot behind the wrench.
it has two gates mostly because the turbo is a twin scroll housing. thats a shearer motrsports manifold. good stuff.Originally Posted by myAWDgst
Not to be totally lame and off topic but peregrine, if you could size down the sig to 250x200 that'd be greatly appreciated. Saves bandwidth and post size.

Thanks :)
Actually if you do the math its about the equivalent of a 54mm gate. But I think Dirty is right, they might give more precise control because of the smaller daiphragms.Originally Posted by myAWDgst
