    Default Local Machine Shop?

Ok a certain shop (coughcoughsaccylinderheadscough) has had my head at their shop since mid december for port/polish/and oversized valves. Well they were going to have done within two days but then they weren't sure if there's a problem with the head. Well obviously almost 2 months later it's not done and I'm getting told the same thing but now he's sayin if he cant fix it he'll give me an estimate on a new head.

Now that I'm done ranting...Are there any good machine shops Sac/SF area? Port/Polish/Oversized valves
The 2.4 is done....Now just need to tune the shit out of it

Ever try CompTech Machine in ElDorado Hills? I had my heads on my Hornet done there a couple years back, they do good work... http://www.comptechusa.com/machine.html

Since 1999, Comptech-built Aurora V-8?s have powered the open-wheeled cars of the Indy Racing League which include pole positions at the Indianapolis 500, for Arie Luyendyk in 1999 and Bruno Junqueira in 2002
On their website they have a lot of Honduh/Acura stuff, but they do all kinds of stuff (they worked on my AMC) and I had to put oversize valves, new valve seats, guides, etc...

uhhh.... you had Sac Cylinder head do all that!!!
Well MotorMachine looks like it is going to be my new shop to go to for all my work, After being highly recomemded by my old shop I took a few Heads over there and they did very nice work. More expensive than most other shops but after looking at some of their work Its worth it.

So yeah I got word from my roommate that my head is pretty much done for....well that's two I'm gonna make into endtables. Maybe I should make a show out of my building furniture out of my trashed engine like those guys on discovery that make stuff out of airplane parts.

Well the dude is quoting me 150 for a new head which isnt "that bad". But I told my roommate to tell him I want it for 100 at the most seeing that it took them 2 months to figure out they couldn't use it. Even better is the fact that he isn't going to be in the shop until the 15th. Hopefully my roommate will relay the message that if it's not done by the time I get back from thailand we're gonna have some serious words.
