    I've heard its something like a $100,000 fine plus license revoked for illegally passing cars for smog. Anyone else heard that before?

    It's not that steep but it's still pretty bad. In the $10,000 range I believe.

    They have to show intent as well as a pattern. The only way anyone evere gets nabbed by these is sting operations.

    Yep and you lose not only your SMOG licence FOREVER you also lose the ability to get ASE recertified so if you get caught you can kiss working on cars good bye,

    Your best bet is getting your car registerd in another county so you will not have to deal with SMOG ever........or move to WA (Damn you LEE!!)

    Or make it a full track car.

    yea it takes effect on the 1st of Jan

    My last smog "hook up" just bailed due to that,
