Default Has all this "crackdown" crap scared anyone from d

Call it nosy... call it what you will. Friday and Saturday nights around the Sunrise Blvd arena, the once import car mecca from Rancho Pacoima all the way up to Hoe'sville has been quiet lately. I'm not talking about this group in particular, but in general, the 'rice' scene has died down quite a bit in addition to the domestics. 'Hangouts' are almost nil and if they're are, they're just hanging out in regular 'beaters'. Anyone feel that this is the case? Cops have put too much of a squeeze on the roads at nights on the weekend? I'm going out on a limb here, I wouldn't be surprised if I get few if any responses, those who have been tagged, I'm quite sure you have some angst. Any thoughts?
If you and I do it, it's called racketeering and extortion... when cops do it, it's called law enforcement.

while i dont know about your area, i do know that the amount of riced out cars are subsiding here in modesto. everyone that i knew that had super crappy riced out cars moved up or moved on.

and yes, when i was driving the spyder i would be scared to go out and drive the local strip on weekends, due to the law enforcements ability to now pull over cars on a whim. but i feel fine now, no cops pull over stangs unless theyre doing 100 over, caught racing, or if they want to give props on having a badass exhaust.

I saw 7 cops during my lunch time over here (withing 30 mins), also flew past one parked cop with his corner lamps on and didnt realize it was a cop car, but he didnt do anything. If i was in my eclipse they would've scrambled the choppers.

It's true, the streets have been extremely quiet lately. I drove from Rancho to Roseville a few times and must of seen about 3 or 4 slightly modified cars. No DSM's at all! "Chicken's" LOL, kidding. Honestly though people got scared of the cops or something because all you see nowadays are raised trucks and luxury sedans. No longer fun on the weekends. :( Anyways, STOP HIDING PEOPLE COME OUT AND PLAY!! muhahaaa.

why, its not worth it being profiled like we are.

id just rather let the whole scene die out and then we can all drive around in a few years without worry, much like the big block/domestic guys can do now.

I went up Sunrise last night and I ran into about 7-8 modified cars.. No where near as many as before, though.

If all of the sport compact people run and hide, do you think the newer domestics will get the wrath of the millions in revenue thrown down the drain? I know most older cars just get the thumbs up from the Po but I think with all of these task forces looking for violations, they'll end up snagging the newer Camaros and Stangs, the Civics of the domestic world.
