I think you have to, considering the only point of installing one is to be able to adjust timing. If you just throw it on there, who know's where it'll be set...
Yeah what Lee said. Don't just throw it on, else your tuning will be waaay off. Even if you do time it right, you will have to retune, as your timing now should be 5? with a 1G cas on a 2G instead of the computer controlled 8?.
