Thread: Valve Seal Question

I took the head that I had problems with back to the machine shop that I had problems with lol. They took it apart in front of me and 2 of the valve seals were sitting up off the guides. I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be pressed in over the guide, why would they just come off a freshly rebuilt head? Bad machine shop work? Bad aftermarket seals? The machinest who worked there before and did the work on my head was fired from doing shitty work so that's my only guess but I thought I'd ask. They're redoing the entire head right now free of charge, at least they fixed it.
