Default anybody heard of this ebay seller?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33742

Looking at the intercooler, they say they're pressure tested to 5bar, which is a hell of a lot more than I plan on ever running. Was thinking about getting on of these huge ass 4" thick bar and plate cores.

    Anyone?

Why the hell not? Its a freakin intercooler. They arent hard to make. Its definetly going to be a huge improvement. It MAY not be as good as a expensive ass spearco or something like that, but theres no comparison to see for sure. At $200 or less Ill take that intercooler anyday over a $1000 kit. Thats what Manny is running with his 402whp and Im sure he will see more. Things like this are like exhaust systems. To me Ill take a stainless tig welded knock off over a 500-600 dollar system. If theyre both 3 inches tig welded and stainless then fuck, who cares what the name says on it. Its a freakin pipe.

Anyways yes Id go for it.

I bought that intercooler except with 3" inlets on ebay for $190. Made some good dyno numbers on it back to back. 4" inlets may be a bit overkill on the intake side, especially if you plan to run that size piping. 2.5" pipes work well for me on the 3" ins & outs without causing overly long lag times. But that ic will more then likely be as solid as mine on the 1g. Good luck.

Comes with a free BOV w/ buy it now? I'm skeptical about some of the stuff on eBay unless someone has tried it out. Manny put down good numbers with it? Then go for it.

    402whp proven right manny :p

Mine was 199 shipped and doesn't even get warm all the way across the thing after 24psi pulls. Blistering hot on the turbo side, icey (no shit, ICE) cold on the tb side. Works for me

That is the one with 3" inlets, but the core is 4" thick. I figure as long as it doesn't leak, it beats the hell out of not having an intercooler... but I don't know if I'm going to get it right now, sorta tossing around the idea of just getting stock parts and making the car run, but at the same time, paying just a little more for something that I'll probably never need to change again isn't a bad idea.
