Thread: Removing Cruise Control

Going to remove the cruise control because I never use and never will and it jus takes up room. I was reading on tuners that a 2g non cruise control cable is required. Then I read all the 2g's came with cruise control... The only cable I found was http://www.diamondstarmotorsport.com/maintengine.shtml# for $39. Anyone else done this on a 2g or know any other place that would sell the cable for less?

Still wondering if anyone has done this before or know the difficulty of it?

I've never seen it on any car, but it is pretty easy to remove the CC unit. It's just bolted to the firewall by 4 12mm bolts. Just unhook it's harness and unbolt. $39 isn't much to see if you can get a clean look and if you do decide to get it, let me know, as I'd like to see what it looks like and may be interested in doing it to my car.
