I've heard bad things about slow boys in house custom stuff like their GT turbos and their short blocks. I've never heard of problems with their head packages though, except that they're super over priced.

Not very many Engine Builders get their blocks completed in the time they quote you. I've heard some people being told to wait almost as long as 5 months past their quoted end build date. SBR though has been pretty accurate from my past readings. They even answer questions on DSMTuners (Slowboy) so you may want to ask Mark or Nate directly on there or just call him up to see what his work load is like and the quality of the block.
