Thread: MPG

Ok, Im not saying I havnt been driving a little hard on it lately. But I have been getting like 17 mpg. Lets say I wasnt driving it hard, what would be some thing that would cause low gas mileage. The only thing that is done to this car mod wise is the BCS restricter taken out, silencers removed from intake and cut open air can. Ive checked for boost leaks and there werent any that I could find. It needs a new exhuast manifold because the stock 1g one is like cracked all over the place and the gasket on the mani is done for too dont know if this would affect gas mileage though. Thanks for the help.

i guess 245 and still a quarter tank is good then.. especially with me pushing out 21 psi.... ok ok... so its 12 psi..........

anybody interested in a 96 tsi awd auto with a evo16g and supporting mods for $3500?

3500 you say? lol, if I wasn't broke I'd take it

actually there's nothing wrong with it. just that it gets piss poor gas mileage. i just put in a brand new oem o2 sensor (upstream) and that helped a little, but i still won't get anymore than 225 to a tank... :x

update.. i just filled up the tank and drove it a while and when i got home i had 304.6 miles and the gas gauge was in between the halfway and 1/4 mark.. so it got alot better for some reason.. i was doin more fwy driving but i was still boostin like crazy on the highway

263 miles on 3/4 tank whats that equal?

Thats great gas mileage.even dough we have a 2.0 litre engine once the turbo startsspoolin and those 450cc injectors start spittin,the gas goes with the quickness.
