Thread: 2g rear diff and 1g rear diff question

Does anyone know if the rear cover of a 1g rear diff is compatiable with a 2g rear diff? The reason I ask is because I may be getting a 2g rear diff for free, but the rear cover was cracked. The assembly is in tact it seems, but I think I'd have a harder time sourcing a cover for a 2g rear diff.

Since when did 2Gs have 3 bolt rears?

Rich probably meant to type 4 to clarify which of the 1g rears would work lol. I wonder if the 4bolt rear diff complete would work with the ratio and design of the 2g. Whichever I would find first would be most helpful.
