for plugs, stick with the OEM NGK brp7es.

for oil, whatever you want. i run regular 10w30. some say synthetic helps with lifter tick, but i'd rather not shell out the extra dough....

If you don't plan on turning up the boost anytime soon, stick with:

    NGK BPR6ES

Those are the recommended plugs for stock or close-to-stock levels and they will last a long time.

    Oil most dsmers use is:

    Mobile1 Full Synthetic 10w30

Great for those loud lifters and keeps the turbo from 'coaking'. I wouldn't use anything but OEM oil filters. Davis mitsu keeps them in stock regularly and I think we still get discounts there by mentioning this site.

I thought all mobil oil was atleast partial synthetic. Also cheaper than most.

There's Mobel that's just natural oil then there's Mobel 1 that's synthetic... I think that's how it works, it's been a while since I looked at the store.

I used Lucas oil additive for two oil changes in a row when I first got the car and it reduced the lifter tick type noise coming from my head a lot. It's supposed to condition the seals inside the engine and I can say that my tiny oil leak at the oil pan went away after the first use and never came back.
