    Default ECU Capacitor Replacement

Just a thought for some of you guys with driveability problems on your DSM's

The 3 caps in the ECU's ALWAYS leak and cause all kinds of problems such as

    1. hard starts
    2. lack of power
    3. idle surge (also due to ISC failure)
    4. throttle lag (bad response)
    5. no start
    6. OBD 2 smog triggers not self checking

as well as a bunch of other problems

plus if your caps are leaking it will burn the board thus rendering your ECU not rebuildable.

here is a more detailed write up on performing the repair

Also they state the caps are not availble from Radio Shack, well they are I get them there all the time.

Mods might want to sticky this right under my oil pan thingy! HAHAHA!!

the 2g's don't have the leaking capacitor issue like the 1g's do.
