No ones using it here yet that I know of. Give us a review in the reviews section once you get it installed and play with it.

Did you get the "plug and play" harness?

I don't know of anyone using ecu+ either. Its advertised features make it more attractive than other piggybacks, but it still has its limitations because it is a piggyback.

Since you already had the afc, it's hard to say if it was worth it to upgrade. I think you'll have to let us know. It's pricier than I thought it was, but it has its place, just like the "sorry ass" afc does, which, by the way, has been proven time after time.

What made you decide on ecu+? Can it only be purchased through Mach V?

I got it because it was plug and play with the patch harness of course. and it seem very easy to use, plus it controls timming and fuel. it also compensates larger injectors with out a e prom ecu + socket. and its also going to have features like knock and some other stuff later in the future + you can hook up a wide band to it too. and all you have to do is " plug and play'" i dont know what you guys think, but for a piggy back that hangs with the dsm link. i think its asome.
IM going to get it early next week. when i plug it and play it ill get some 411 on how this product is and how much it has help my timming and all. hope fully it can do better than what my safc did with my 650cc.

also to blinded. i think mach v is the only place you can get it right now.

Well, I didn't want to bring up dsmlink because I have it and I am biased. :)

However, since you mentioned it, and since the list price for ecu+ is very comparable with dsmlink (moreso than I thought), I suppose they should be compared. Of course, you still need an eprom ecu for dsmlink, which is a negative. Beyond that, or if you already own a 95 dsm with an eprom ecu, I don't think there is any comparison. Installation is simple. Setup is simple. Fuel and timing adjustments are simple and don't rely on modifying the airflow signal. You can log anything meaningful that the ecu sees. 1000cc injectors? No problem. Stutterbox? Yup. Antilag? Yup. Nitrous control? Check. DTC's, maf compensation, fuel pump control, fan control, etc., etc., etc. On top of that, Dave and Thomas are constantly improving the product and adding new features. There have probably been a dozen improvements in dsmlink in the time ecu+ first said knock monitoring was "in the works" and there will probably be another dozen before it happens. I might be wrong, and maybe ecu+ really does "hang" with dsmlink, but I don't think so.

Don't get me wrong, like I said, ecu+ has its place, as does the afc, keydiver chips, dsmlink, and full standalones. The only one I'm not sure has a place is emanage. Also, I am glad that products like ecu+ and keydiver are around to keep competition up and to push dsmlink. Which products are worth it depends on how much money someone's willing to spend and what they are trying to accomplish. What doesn't seem worth it to me is switching from one to another. In your case, if you bought that afc new, and ecu+ new, you've probably spent close to the same amount as you would have for initially buying dsmlink and an eprom ecu.

Yeah I won't batter DSMLink VS ecu+ since I'm biased to and think DSMLink is untouchable :D

Tell me this though, is it the ECU+ or E-manage that has injector pulse width modification with the "injector harness"? rather than just hacking the MAF signal? I forgot...

alright correct, dsm link is the best, but ecu+ is the best than other piggy back systems
