Default 6bolt turbo oil pan recommendation needed

Hey guys, I've got to get a new oil pan for my GST. The lip on the current on has a major ding and its not sealing properly so I'm losing oil everytime I start my baby up.

I was thinking of a moroso pan, but they are not so cost effective. The stock replacement I can get is about 150 shipped. Then there are these knock off's like this OBX crap that I'm wary of, but they do look nice.

Can anyone give me a good recommendation? I want to try to stay under 200, but slightly over would "probably" be ok. The wife is keeping me on a budget on this one.

    Thanks!!

You can't flat-hammer it back into shape? If its that far out of whack, you can always source a used one. M&S has got plenty, Pick N Pull in your area may have one, and the 6bolt NA engine oil pans work too if you know how to tap your own oil return (REALLY on a budget). I tried asking a while ago if anyone has used the cheap-o ebay morrso knock off but got not response. You would figure you cant really fudge up tig welds on something like a pan, but u never know...

I tried M&S was told they're out of turbo pans. :(

Also beat the hell out of the thing when I first put it in, biggest problem is that it took a hit from a balance shaft blowing out of the back of the block... Really pissed me off because it looked like it was going to hold when we first ran it, but under pressure it blows right through the tiny little gap.

My brother actually offered to build me a pan if I could get him the top lip of a pan that would work.

Holy crack. How did a balanceshaft shoot through your shortblock? Was the bs front bolt not torqued down or backed out?

lol, I bought the car from some jackass that way. Super nice JDM block that I'm actually tearing apart and using the forged pistons in another 4G63 shortblock, taking the head and using it too. :)

Apparently the guy did some work and didn't know WTF he was doing. I had no clue as to what the hell I was doing when I started with my GS, but you know that haynes manual is really informative... Guess you just have to have enough patients are smarts to not treat it like a SOHC block.

Found myself a cheap replacement pan. Was around 80 bucks, OEM turbo pan...
Its a pitty that the Moroso pans are so flippin' expensive. They've got a pan for the Chevy 350 at about 150 bucks, wtf do they insist on ass raping us dsm guys? lol

I have a NA 6 bolt oil pan that I'd be willing to part ways with if you haven't ordered it yet.
The 2.4 is done....Now just need to tune the shit out of it

I've ordered it already, but I'm thinking of having my bro custom build a pan for me. How much do you want for it?

I really would only need the top 2" of the pan hehe... Can I get a discount because I don't want the whole thing ;)

Being that I don't need it right away, if someone else asks sell it to them. When I need it I'll drop you a line and find out if you've still got it.
