Thread: u-joint replacement oem vs. brand x

i dunno if there is a thread on this already, i didn't see one. anyways im replacing the yoke on my driveline and an wanna put in a new u-joint. the dealer wants $100. freaking nut cases. has anyone installed any from the local parts store? had any problems? autozone wants $9 and napa wants $20. im leaning towards napa cuz they ussually carry better quality brands. anyways let me know if you know something better.

Ive used both.. I havnt had too many problems with them.. I did have one generic that i bought from kragen or autozone in a pinch powder on me half a year later.. but other than that ive had no probs.. Just ask to see them.. I tend to steer away from anything thats hecho.. of the non oem ive used.. the only one ive had fail was the hecho en mexico one.. The others were made in usa and japan and worked fine..
