    Default wheel and tire sizing

im thinking of getting some wheels for my car. i wanna get some 17x7.5 5zigen GN+'s......i wanna try and fit a 245 but i think that might be pushing it for fender clearence and also fitting it on the tire. they have a couple diff offsets for the wheels. 35mm and 43mm. i have 1" spacers on the rear which might not work with the wider wheel. has anyone ever tried fitting 245's ?? any info would be great.

where do they rub? can it be modified to where they will fit? im guessing the problem is in the front suspension.

i dunno if rolling the fenders would help. i haven't bought the wheels and tires yet so im not sure where the problem is. thought i'd ask around before i bought tires that wont fit.

    1g 2g fwd ? awd??

    Im currently running 245 40 17's on 17x8 +38mm offset on my 1g awd..

2g's have a little less clearance.. On my 1g its tight.. but it works.. The only spots that are really tight are at the rear trailing arms.. Very little clearance there..

Altho my rear fenders were cut and welded flush by a previous owner.. so theres nothing but flat metal back there.. I had to work with the bumpstops a bit up front to prevent cutting a tire on sharp right handers.. but a little custom work with some Energy suspension bumpstops and its good to go..

*EDIT. the tire in my avatar picture is a 225 stretched over my 8" rims.. the 245 bulges slightly out.. it would bulge out a bunch on 7.5" wide rims..
