    Default Underdrive Crank Pulley

Just wanted to get some peoples thoughts on these. I've been readin about them on and off these past couple of days, it looks like the arguements have been going both ways on the benefits and the downsides.. and would like the boards opinions on em. The good.. bad n ugly.. hehe

unless you have a fully blueprinted/internally balanced motor, I wouldn't do it... the crank pulley's got your harmonic damper(sp?) and the underdrive one's I've seen don't...

For my daily driver, I am of the school that the theoretical negatives of a solid underdrive pulley outweigh the theoretical positives. If I had a built, full race motor that only needed to run for 10 seconds at a time, then I guess I might consider one. How much are the solid underdrive pulleys?

Buschur's website has a dampened underdrive pulley for 350, with belts.

When my oem pulley fails (again), a new oem pulley will replace it. I'd rather spend my money somewhere else.

Yes, do NOT run that Solid pulley on ANY daily driven car, with the only way for harmonics to be absorbed is by the t.belt your crank bearings will go away in a few months! , if anything go with something SFI approved like the Buschur damnpner.
