Default TURBO t25 HYBRID SOME QUESTIONS....

    Hey all,
now i know many of you are going to be put off by the idea of this turbo. my question is about a t25 hybrid. Now - what it is...

larger compressor housing and wheel: 56 trim 0.80 a/r
T25 turbine, stock turbine housing and wheel. 0.49 a/r housing, ported bypass hole.

My question is if this will flow better than stock, or is it 'too much' upgrade for the compressor with the stock turbine...

Looking for some good input, not why i should get a 20g. THANKS A LOT!

It would be like an 18g but worse, a lot of lag and not much top end due to the little turbine wheel can't be flowing fast enough to spin at the rpm the compressor needs to not surge.

20g are great turbos, I have had nothing but good experiences with them, fitment, reliablity, and (it usually squeaks by the smog guys).

it is a direct bolt on deal, just like a 16g on a 1g or a 2g with the "install kit"

so it would be the opposite the guy said it would be... He said if you keep the turbine small it would still spool quickly- so its the compressor side that dictates the spool? THANKS A LOT FOR THE REPLY- i needed input from someone with more experience than I. Later.

Its the combonation of the wheels that dictates how quickly it spools,
"geometric progression" is the name of the game when it comes to designing great turbo, both wheels have to complement each other for the greatest results.

Its basic turbo 101 man... You cant just strap a massive compressor to a teeny turbine and expect it to work... Your exhaust pressure would be way way too high.. Google it..

just a question man... what input is it for you to say 'basic turbo 101 man' ive been into cars my whole life and have just started with forced induction. Funny how someone who knows what they are talking about can answer a question without classifying it as 'basic'
