    Default Throttlebody/Intake manifold

So I have a 3" gm MAF with the MAFT, and my intercooler has 3" inlet and outlets, so I was thinking maybe I should get a bigger throttle body and intake manifold, and was wondering if there's anything that would allow me to run 3" from the turbo all the way to the manifold. cause it seems silly to run 3" pipes all the way to the throttle body and then go into that tiny little throttle body. Anybody know of anything?

Accufab makes the 3" and you can get almost any of the aftermarket SMIMs with the stang bolt pattern and 3" opening. It's common among the big power DSM race scene. If you're planning on 450whp+, it'll be money well speant.

i disagree. dyno proven to make 20 horses at high boost on big turbos is not worth it to me. on FI cars TB size is not as important as NA cars. i like the reliability of the stock TB and the ease of the tps and idle switch. thats just me though YMMV.

    20hp? Maybe on a 16G!!

You're on NABR and DSMLink, surf around and see where just the SMIM alone is making 30 something whp. I'm not talking about 350whp set ups.

Well, I would most definately be putting a intake manifold to match the big ass throttle body... I'm just curious how the wiring is done for the ford piece. This is probably parts I would have to take off ecery 2 years to smog huh? was thinking about getting a 14b for the exhaust manifold at smog time and getting a header with external wastegate and dump tube and some big ass turbo like the hx35 for my go fastness the rest of the time...
