Why are you going with a puck? Is it strickly track only now? I'd get an ACT street disk and 2900 pp.

Hate to high-jack the thread but I'm planning to order a Fidanza flywheel tomorrow. I already got my Act 2100. Any pro's or con's to the flywheel? I've looked on DSMTuners but you guys seem to have more real world experience with stuff.

Act 2900?! My new clutch is gonna be puny compared to that...lol.

The puck is just going to make street driving miserable and will probably bust your tranny or mounts if you don't have a LOT of experience launching. I hate to do the whole "Well shep does this!" but shep used a 2900lb ACT pressure plate and street disk all the way into the low 9 second range. I don't know if he still uses it but the combo is obviously good for 1000hp.

Fritos, The lightened flywheel will let more power get from the crank to the wheels by reducing rotating mass. Enough for you to actually feel. Cons are you'll just have to get used to different driving characteristics for stop and go driving.

Thanks spydert. Gonna order it tomorrow. Then on to the screwing up of things with the install.

If you do get a puck disk go with a 6 puck with a sprung center at least, any clutch with a solid center will be a killer on the rest of your drive train especially those rear axles (or is it your brother that went AWD?)
Anyways go with a sprung disk or a twin plate if $ is not really an option
