Default Help with PS Cooler Relocation

There is no skin left on my hands.

Are the nipples on the PS res 8an or 6an?

I read 6an however I could not get Braided hose over the nipples and had to cut off the steel braiding and strech the hose to get it to fit so I could drive home. (temp ghetto fix)

Also how much Tourque should I put on an earls fitting going onto a Flex a Lite Part # 4130 http://www.flex-a-lite.com/auto/html/fuel-coolers.html cooler unit? They are leaking at the threads.

Standard Earls fittings should work wreched onto that cooler no?

Theres no leak at my craptastic connection at the PS Res so I cant imagine what the hell is going on.

    Thanks
    Seth

they are AN fittings and its PS fluid so i cant imagine Teflon will be any good. I'm going to have a friend look at the ends and make sure the fittings and the cooler are compatible. I asked the people at Flex-a-Lite and they said it should be fine. Ill just have to check the tourque and make sure the res isnt overfull. Because of the increased capacity of the cooler and the lines over stock the Chiltons PS fluid holding is wrong.

    Sigh

    More bloody knuckles :)

odd that it is leaking at the threads, not sure what is going on there...maybe you should try using -6an rubber hose at the resevior, like an aeroquip push-lock type or earl's super stock. These will stretch much easier than the braided hose and have a larger inside diameter to slide over the nipple on the resevoir.
