It all has to come off besides the fuel pump and intake. But, you can get away with leaving the turbo on, no ones going to know the difference. If you find a place that isn't AS anel about stuff, you can just take off the UICP and BOV and the MBC. Those two will bother most places that even if they'll let you slide on some things.

ah, either you bought the car with the mods, or you made a huge mistake in throwing or selling stock parts, especially living in cali.

everything besides the turbo, fuel pump and catback has to go.

you could get away with the downpipe if its a hole in the wall place that doesnt look. the tech that smogged my car just glanced under the car, asked me if it had the cat(i said yes) and stuck the sniffer in the back.

but the intake(turbo intake, lower and upper ic pipe, bov and sidemount) must be stock. vacuum lines must be stock, which is why a mbc has to be uninstalled and stock bc plugged back in. your fuel pump is fine.

Injen intakes are CARB legal and it should have come with a number.

I have seen plenty of people pass with a fmic and I don't see how that would be a problem. As for the Injen intake you will have to put the stock one back on. Injen doesn't give a carb # for 95-99 only 90-94. http://www.injen.com/carb.html

the fmic thing is iffy. generally it IS a modification to the intake, making it illegal. but our cars came with stock ones, just smaller and crappier. basically if they see it and care, youll be taking it off. if they see it and either dont care or know that its not gonna do anything to the sniffer test, then youre golden.
