Default How much boost on evo 3 16g GT

Hey everyone I recently upgraded from my T25 to a Evo 3 GT turbo. It flows the same amount as the big 16g, and my question is how much boost can I run with my setup. My mods are full 3 inch turbo back exhaust, greddy BOV, injen intake, stage 3 clutch, and waiting to be installed are a walbro 190 fuel pump, and a evo 8 fmic. Iam saving up money for some 550cc injectors, but I want to know how much boost I can run with this setup before injectors. Thanks for the help.

    38.5 psi..... :P

I wouldn't suggest anything more than 12-15 on the stock fuel system....

do you have any sort of monitoring tool like a logger?

and how do you plan on controlling those injectors?

if you have a palm/pocketlogger setup, you can boost until you start to see knock and timing retardanation(lol i love making up words). you will need something to log everything anyways, so its time to invest in a logger of sorts, palm m505 and pocketlogger work good for most beginners, as well as using a safc2 to tune the car, cause you cant just bolt up injectors and expect the car to run fine, the ecu doesnt know how to use the injectors.

id say around 14-15psi if theres good timing and no signs of knock.

Iam gonna buy a SAFC-2 when i have enough money, but i just wanted to know how much to run with the walbro 190 fuel pump and fmic. Should I buy a SAFC-2 before the injectors?

A SAFC-2 will do you good without the injectors, but one thing compliments another in tuning. I would highly suggest you buy some sort of logging tool before moving further and upping boost.

Would I benefit more investing in a pocket logger before a SAFC-2, Iam new to tuning and I just want to make the right tuning decisions.

Without a logger and a SAFC-2 you would just be turning knobs, and not knowing the effects, unless you know someone around that has a logger, and can show you the ropes on tuning with a SAFC-2 and a logger.. I would get a logger first, log, read up on tuning and go from there.

    +1 again :P

If you have to get one at a time (that stuff gets expensive! We all do) then get the logger, the SAFC, then the injectors

I hope you bought the EVO III 16g and not the EVO III 16g "GT".
