    "GT" Gheto Turbo!! HAHAHAHA

    or "Gone Thrustwashers"

those turbos are junk, they will last for a bit but not more than a few thousand miles......but then again how many DSM'ers but more than a few thousand miles in a year (with mod down time and all)

I did buy the GT turbo willing to take my chances, a lot of people flame this turbo from what they have read on that website. But I have heard some good things about these turbos, and from what I read on turbochargers.com. I found one for a good deal so I bought it. I will let you guys know if it takes a crap on me. Thanks for the helpful tuning tips.

good luck with that turbo.Let us know how it goes, been real contreversy going on with it.i wouldn't run more then 15 psi as boostdork suggested.you definatly need a logger,it's just as important as safc and injectors.good luck again.

eh i wouldnt be scared about the evo16GT.

a buddy of mine had one(george, white spyder gst), aside from killing one due to bad install(returne line crimped up, blew oil past the seals, killed the turbo), i believe his second one is still currently on the car.

dont get the safc until you have the injectors. unless you want to just install it and keep it zeroed out.

you need the logger, first and foremost. if i were you(and ive been at that point in your setup) i would get the logger and get familiar with how it works and doing 3rd gear pulls and such. then go ahead and get a safc and injectors and get some real boost.

Stock fuel maps suck (very rich 9:1ish) and can benifit from a tune with the SAFC. You don't need injectors to warrent having a tuning device.

Right. Your injectors will max out at or a little before then and that's always bad :)
